Who is the course intended for:

This programme is designed for new and experienced trainers and will be tailored to address the needs of each participant where possible.

 

Minimum and maximum class numbers:

Classes can vary from 1-12 Learners

 

Award:

Participants are awarded a FETAC Level 6 Certificate.

 

Pre-Requisites:

Learners entering programmes leading to awards at level 6 can usually fluently read, draft, prepare and understand complex information, including quantitative information, that is personally relevant and reflecting a broad knowledge base.

 

Course Description and General Information:

This course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to design, deliver, assess and evaluate training programmes.

 

On completion of this course learners will be able to:

  • Understand different learning styles  
  • Understand the functions and processes of learning and training  
  • Evaluate different approaches to training 
  • Appreciate the importance of training on an individual, social and economic level. 
  • Work effectively with a range of learner groups 
  • Design, deliver and evaluate training programmes 
  • Develop and implement appropriate assessment methods 

 

Course Content:

  • Theory of training and adult learning  
  • The role of the trainer  
  • Training needs analysis and programme design  
  • Preparing for training delivery  
  • Delivery and Assessment  
  • Evaluation of Training  

Learners are required to complete the following assessment below in order to achieve the required standard:

  • Assignment            50%
  • Skills Demonstration 50%

E30179- Train the Trainer is a component of:

  • BBMSK Business Management
  • DCXXX Supervision in Childcare
