Course Description and General Information:

This FETAC Level 6 Supervisory Management programme is designed to provide the learner with the knowledge, practical skills and understanding required to operate effectively as a Supervisor or Line Manager.

 

On completion of this course learners will be able to:

  • Acquire the theoretical knowledge enabling them to understand the role and responsibilities of a supervisor
  • Acquire a range of supervisory and management skills
  • Develop good interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrate the confidence to deal with a variety of challenging situations
  • Develop good work practices appropriate to their role as Supervisor/Manager.

 Assessment

This course is assessed through the completion of the following:

 

  • Skills Demonstration incorporating a learners log and other supporting documentation (70%)
  • Assignment in which learners demonstrates an understanding and application of learning required (30%)
