Persons intending to work as Door Security staff or who already hold such a position without formal qualification.

No previous experience necessary.

  • Identification (Drivers Licence etc)

Course Description and General Information:

This module is a statement of the standards to be achieved to gain a FETAC credit in Door Security Procedures at FETAC Level 4. Its purpose is to provide learners with an introductory understanding of practical door security duties and procedures.

On completion of this course learners will be able to:

  • Be familiar with the duties and responsibilities of door security personnel.
  • Be aware of Legal codes which apply.
  • Understand what constitutes an emergency and the recommended responses to emergencies.
  • Develop and apply relevant communication and practical skills.

  • Fire Prevention and Safety Procedures
  • Practical and Emergency Procedures.

 

Learners are required to complete the following assessment below in order to achieve the required standard:

  • Skills Demonstration (2) 40%
  • Assignment               40%
  • Examination-Theory 20%
